JJ News has announced they will have a free to use cash point soon.

As Nub News reported, in January Helston lost its last permanent bank Lloyds, leaving many residents worrying how far they would have to travel to use basic banking services such as a cash point.

We provided our best tips on what banking services would still be available close by, this included Helston Post Offices that have been trying their best to offer alternative banking assistance (click the link for more details).

Barclays Bank also told Nub News that they would be providing pop-up banking services in Helston twice a week.

The people of Helston will now be happy to hear that JJ News a newsagent in the town has announced on social media that they will soon have a free-to-use cash point.

Although there is no date yet the shop shared on social media it would be coming soon, JJ News said: "It will be located inside our old tobacco room alongside our Cornwall souvenirs and what is left of the tobacconist department.

"We did consider an external machine but we would have to lose the use of the room and that was not acceptable. Please let us know your thoughts and suggested opening times so we can look into staffing if needed. We want this to work so help us help you, young and old."

You can see any updates from the shop and let them know your suggested opening times here: J J News.
