Historic Challenge Cup match to take place in Penryn as Cornwall take on Rochdale

This Saturday (25th February) in Penryn you will be able to witness history being made as Cornwall RLFC becomes the first-ever Cornish rugby league club to compete in the prestigious and world-renowned Challenge Cup competition

Cornwall takes on Rochdale Mayfield ARLFC in the second round, It will be the first Challenge Cup game to take place in Cornwall in the competition's 127-year history.

The match will take place at Cornwall's oldest rugby club, Penryn RFC - The Memorial Ground with a 1 pm kick-off. The match will also be available to watch live on BBC Iplayer.

Cornwall RLFC is a professional rugby league club, and a Rugby Football League member club that currently competes in Betfred League 1, and the Betfred Challenge Cup. Its the first professional Rugby League team to represent Cornwall.

Rochdale Mayfield ARLFC currently competes in the tier below Cornwall in the National Conference Leagues. They will be taking the long trip down to Cornwall in the hope of causing an upset.

Tickets will be £5 for adults whilst children under 16 can get in for just £1. Seating in the main stand will be on a first come first served basis.
