Helston Athletic Football Club and the chairman Paul Hendy have announced that a number of 'Young Blues' have been selected to travel to Germany in May to represent Cornwall Youth Football Select.

For over 20 years, youngsters in Cornwall have been given the chance to join the Cornwall Youth Football Select and participate in international tournaments in Germany and Holland.

All those involved at the club including parents are now trying to make sure the players don't miss out on this amazing experience and have launched a number of GoFundMe campaigns.

The cost of this is £870 per person and will cover everything on the trip including the journey on the 21st of May by coach through the Euro tunnel into France through Belgium and onto Germany.

Helston Athletics chairman Paul Hendy congratulated all the players on social media and said any support/sponsorship would be most greatly appreciated
