A pop up vaccine clinic is set to get underway in Helston this week.

The decision to put up a temporary clinic comes after a noticeable rise in cases in recent weeks, there is a need to vaccinate people to control the spike.

In the last seven days, Helston has recorded 44 new covid cases. Double the number of last week (22).

The pop up vaccine will take place at Helston Tesco, this Wednesday (7th), from 9:30am to 5:30pm.

No appointment necessary, just turn up if you are 18 or over.

Revealing the news of the clinic, Josh Pett, South Kerrier and Penwith's new Community Health Champion, commented:

"I have already been in touch with Helston Medical Centre to see if we can reach out to some of those wonderful volunteers who helped them at their clinics. I will be attending in the morning.

"If you are anxious about receiving your jab, please feel free to find me in the morning. I am the one with no hair and an Active Plus face mask."
