The Easy Eco Tour is running from the 12th-16th July, it is open to everyone, even if you do not live in Helston - and you don't even need to leave the house to take part.

If you're feeling a few twinges of eco-anxiety and the desire to 'do something' to help the planet, but you're just not sure where to start and what to do, then this is just the thing for you.

Sign up to join us online and for each of the five days, there will be an easy eco-action, specifically designed to have maximum impact on your carbon footprint in the minimum amount of time.

Helston Footprints launched in January 2021 with the aim of helping local residents to understand and reduce their carbon footprints.

Progress has already been made with the people signed up working to save over 30 tonnes of carbon, which is the equivalent of reducing carbon emissions by 100,000 car miles.

With just a few weeks left to run this part of the project we are going out with a (low carbon) bang and have teamed up with Jen Gale from Sustainable(ish) for a 5 day easy eco-tour.

Jen describes herself as an 'ordinary knackered mum of two' and is the best selling author of The Sustainable(ish) Living Guide and the founder of the 'Sustainable(ish)' – an online community all about imperfect eco-action.

Jen has previously run "The Knackered Mums (Eco) Tour" during the Covid lockdowns, to help exhausted parents wanting to do their bit for the planet to take action whilst keeping all the plates spinning.

She said:

"The best thing about each of the Eco Tours was seeing people come together to take action around such a big and overwhelming issue, supporting each other, and dare I say it, even having a bit of fun and a distraction from the monotony and strains of lockdown."

And what great timing! We are working with GIKI Zero to help set a new world record for the most people pledging climate action in one month, Helston Footprints' Easy Eco Tour is here so you can hitch a ride.

We are inviting all the people we know in Cornwall - and beyond, hoping you will join us and invite some travelling companions along too.
