Culdrose Youth Football under-15s girls' team – the Kestrels – has been praised after winning the Cornwall FA County Cup Final.

The game was played at Falmouth School on June 26th against Charleston Youth under-15s girls' team, the Angels.

After Culdrose took the lead courtesy of Chloe Kind, Charlestown drew level just before halftime. In the second half Culdrose pressed on and a strong team performance resulted in another good finish, again by Chloe Kind, to make it 2-1.

The team is part of the successful Charter Standard Culdrose Youth Football Club that provides football for boys and girls in the Helston area.

The Kestrels and coach Matt Annis continue to develop and raise awareness of female football by being involved with social media campaigns such as Her Game Too and This Girl Can.
