Helston: Children's Christmas Card Competition winner announced

The Children's Christmas Card competition for under 12s as part of Christmas Late Night Shopping, organised by Helston Chamber of Commerce received over 200 entries from schools and individuals in the area.

The entries were judged last Friday by Mayor of Helston Tim Grattan-Kane and Rev Danny Reed of the Methodist Church and they have now announced the winner and three Runners-Up:

Winner: Raet, 4 yrs Germoe Community Primary School

Runners up in no specific order:

Demi, 4 yrs: Nansloe Academy

Charlie Woodhouse, 4 yrs: Nansloe Academy

Florence Davis, 6 yrs: Mum is Tregan Davis

For Winning the competition Raet will receive a Deluxe 168-piece Kids Art Kit with an art paper pad and a Flambards Family Pass for four. The card will then be framed in January and presented to Raet.

The three Runners-Up each receive a £10 Book Token from WH Smiths.

The chamber of commerce is getting in touch with the schools and parents to coordinate the prize-giving.

All cards are currently on display at Methodist Church on the upper floor. Please check with the church for opening times.
