The Cornwall Chamber of Commerce along with Green Works Consulting is offering free carbon literacy training for small businesses in Cornwall. The course is certified to a standard accredited by the Carbon Literacy Project and recognised by the United Nations.

The training has a strong focus on what role small to medium enterprises (SMEs) can play in carbon reduction. The sessions aim to provide organisations with an awareness of the climate-related costs and impacts of their activities, and the ability and motivation to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Green Works Consulting say they are trying to create a community of Net Zero champions within Cornish SMEs, the group said: "The course would be especially useful for those people who have a responsibility for sustainability and carbon reduction within their role (or would like to take the lead in the future)

"The course will enable you to empower your team to take climate action and will also give you the knowledge, skills, and confidence to act to reduce your carbon emissions to support your company's journey to Net Zero."

Those who complete the full 8 hours of learning (and some follow-up work) will obtain their certification from the Carbon Literacy Project. This course is online and consists of 2 sessions:

23rd November 2022 - 09.00 until 13.00

30th November 2022 - 09.00 until 13.00
