The slide has since been retrieved and returned! Check our updated story here.

A Helston family were shocked to find that their seven-foot slide had been stolen from their garden this morning.

Louise Pallet and her family last saw the slide yesterday, they were planning to spend today playing on it in the nice weather.

Louise told Nub News:

"The children are heartbroken, I don't understand why someone would want to steal a slide.

"It is seven-foot, it's not something you can pick up over your arm."

The green seven-foot slide has been in the family for years, switching up its use into a water slide when the weather gets warm.

Louise believes that someone must have jumped the fence to take the slide.

Residents have been reacting on social media to Louise's appeal for information.

One resident said:

"It's so big! What sort of nutcases think that's fair game? Hope you get it back!"

Another resident stated:

"That's so low! Hope you get reunited with it. Surely someone would notice something with it being so big!"

If anyone has any information on where the slide could be, please contact Louise on 07818441413.
