A Helston family has been reunited with their seven-foot slide after realising it had been stolen earlier today.

Louise Pallet and her family were shocked to find that their precious green slide was not in its usual place in the garden this morning.

A sighting from a member of the public alerted Louise to its whereabouts and the police were able to retrieve and return the slide back to the family.

Louise Pallet told Nub News:

"It's an amazing feeling to get the slide back, the kids are over the moon and can't wait to get back on it. A big water slide party tomorrow."

A go-fund-me was started for the family which they will now be donating to the NHS.

Louise continued:

"We would just like to thank everyone who has shared it on Facebook or donated money for a new slide.

"We will be donating the money raised to the very precious NHS."
