Plans to build a unique garden structure in Wendron are set to go ahead.

Submitted by 'Marraum' on behalf of Sarah Thomas of Wendron - the plans see the formation of a garden structure to be used for wedding ceremonies and private use with the gardens of Crahan.

The small structure with a covering will include a reflection water pool.

It will be significantly smaller than the house, a similar height to the surrounding hedgerow and underneath trees so not imposing.

Conditional approval was granted this week for the structure, the planning officer commented:

"The proposal has been approved because it is considered that the development proposal accords with the said policies and there are no other overriding material considerations, which justify refusing planning permission.

"Taking these factors into account, on balance, it is considered that the proposal is acceptable, subject to conditions. All other matters raised have been taken into account, including the planning history and the comments of the Local Council, but none is of such significance as to outweigh the considerations that have led to the conclusion."
