An outraged Helston resident has spoken out on social media following the discovery of a bag of dog poo that had been hidden in her mint plant pot.

Sarah Warwick of Wendron Street has spoken to Nub News about her continuous battle with dog owners.

Sarah told Nub News:

"We regularly have to pick up dog pooh from outside our front door and in our drive. This was worse as whoever placed it among my herbs had made a clear decision to leave it and hide it.

"As a dog lover, I am shocked at such behaviour. Looking at my pots which usually give me pleasure, and which are supposed to cheer up passers-by now makes me feel dirty and disgusted."

Dog's mess has been a continuous point of anger in Helston, many residents feel there should be stronger fines and more enforcement from the Council.

Helston Nub News previously attempted to get a comment from Cornwall Council on the situation but received no response.

Sarah explained and vented the situation on social media:

"It was in the back so deliberately placed. I could be using this mint for cooking. I have to pick your bag up and it could be infected with COVID," she wrote to the community.

Many residents rallied behind her and shared the same anger at the situation.

One resident reacted to the story, saying: "What on earth is the matter with people. That's disgusting."
