The motorist will now wait for lab results.

A driver can face the following penalties if found to be drug-driving:

  • Minimum 1-year driving ban
  • An unlimited fine

  • A criminal record

Details of the incident were revealed by Devon & Cornwall Roads Policing Team on social media saying:

"If you fancy an afternoon drive maybe think again if you indulged in a daily cannabis joint as this driver found out the hard way in the Helston area today. Now a nervous wait for the lab results for this young person."
