When Helston Community College students will return to school

Helston Community College has announced the dates that students will return following the recent tightening of coronavirus restrictions.
The government announced recently schools and colleges will reopen on the 18th January.
Helston Community College announced the following guidelines:
- Monday 4th January - Staff Training day (no students to attend College)
- Tuesday 5th January – College is open for vulnerable students and children of critical workers for all year groups.
- Monday 11th January, Years 11 and 13 will return to face to face learning and attend College.
Year 12 students who have Cambridge Technical examinations in IT or Sport should attend college lessons in these subjects only in preparation for their January examinations.
Vulnerable students and children of critical workers in other
years may attend college provided you have completed the relevant forms. Students in Years 7, 8, 9, 10 and 12 will continue to access onlinelearning
- From Monday 18th January 2021 – all students in all years will attend College for face to face learning unless the Government guidance changes.
On testing the college added:
"The Government has announced the opportunity for all students and staff to be tested using Lateral Flow Tests.
"Once we have identified and trained our staff, we will roll out the testing programme. We will let you know what the arrangements will be for your child - this may be prior to their return to face-to-face teaching. Please regularly check the college website and your email for ongoing updates."
