Starting cloudy with occasional drizzle, especially over Devon and Cornwall. More persistent and locally heavy spells of rain will spread from the west during the morning and will linger through the afternoon, with low cloud bringing fog over higher ground. Maximum temperature 12 °C.

Outbreaks of rain will ease and clear slowly eastwards overnight leaving dry conditions for most. However, the rain may return to affect southernmost coastal areas late in the night. Minimum temperature 2 °C.
