Local crews tackle fire involving petroleum gas cylinders on The Lizard

A fire spreading to gas cylinders resulted in local teams being called out to an area of The Lizard.

Crews from Mullion and Helston were tasked on Thursday 24th February at around 12:30pm to a fire in the open.

On scene, a large fire containing commercial waste was discovered which had spread to involve six LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) cylinders.

The fire was extinguished by firefighters using two hose reel jets.
