Whale that died on Lizard beach is removed from coastline

A whale that was beached at Parbean near Nare Point, on the Southside of the Helford Estuary in Cornwall on Friday (14th) has been removed.

Porthoustock Coastguard Rescue Team posted on Facebook:

"Team members requested to attend Nare Point for public safety whilst the recent stranded whale was refloated and removed, recent weather had made cliff paths slippery so team members made sure all members of the public were at a safe distance from the cliff edges whilst they watched

"Closed down on station 1515 ready for next tasking."
