Two people treated for minor injuries following Helston fire

A crew from Helston were tasked in the early hours to a residential fire this morning.

Appliances from Helston and Tolvaddon responded to reports of an electricity box on fire at around 2am within a property at Crowntown.

"The initial crew arrived to confirm smoke was issuing and proceeded to extinguish the fire with breathing apparatus and a hose reel jet," a spokesperson for Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service commented.

Two people were treated by South Western Ambulance Service for smoke inhalation and burns to hands following the incident.

Western Power Distribution also attended to make the electric box safe.
