The new Poundstretcher store in Helston opened this morning with people queuing down the street to get in.

The shop opened at 10am to a host of excited people lining up to get a first look around the new premises on Coinagehall Street.

Poundstretcher takes up the premises previously occupied by The Original Factory Shop which closed in 2018.

The brand new store offers a host of items including food, toiletries, homeware, and their Christmas stock.

Vouchers were also being handed out to the first 50 people through the door. Manager Ben Richardson revealed they were gone within minutes.

Ben told Nub News:

"We were crazy busy today but really exciting to welcome everyone in. There was a massive queue at 10am, and the vouchers were gone in under five minutes."

The new store is open 9am-6pm Monday to Saturday and 10am-4pm on Sunday's.
