A parade and service were held at the war memorial in Helston this morning to mark Remembrance Sunday today (14th November 2021).

It comes after last year's event was scaled down and socially distanced due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

There was a large turnout from the public for this year's Remembrance Sunday Parade and Service in Helston.

The parade led by Helston Town Band, featured two platoons of sailors from Royal Naval Air Station Culdrose as well as veterans with the Royal British Legion, representatives of the emergency services, and many other groups and organisations in the town.

RNAS Culdrose's commanding officer Captain Stuart Finn joined members of Helston Town Council for the service at The Monument led by Rev Danny Reed.
