School student designs logo for The Lizard Sea Shanty Festival

Organisers for The Lizard Sea Shanty Festival say they are thrilled to unveil their brand new logo, expertly crafted by a promising young talent from the local village primary school, Landewednack.

Selected as the best among a pool of budding young designers, the students who can not be named yet has been praised for their efforts.

The first-ever Lizard Sea Shanty festival will be hosted on September 23rd, at the renowned Top House Inn. Running from noon until midnight, the inn will be filled to the brim with exhilarating performances from a multitude of talented local shanty singers.

Ensuring they keep the spirit of community alive, the young students from Landewednack School will also be present and will treat those in attendance to captivating songs and lively dance routines.

The Lizard Sea Shanty Festival aims to become synonymous with promoting local talent and supporting a great cause. The event will be held yearly and is dedicated to raising funds for The Lizard Lifeboat Charity, to contribute towards the invaluable work, they undertake in safeguarding our waters.

Organisers behind the event said: "We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the young artist behind this wonderful creation and express our gratitude for her fabulous contribution. Her talent shines as a testament to the artistic prowess nurtured within the walls of Landewednack Village School.

"As anticipation builds, with the festival just over a month away, we remind you to mark the date in your calendars, gather your friends, neighbours, and families, and join us at the Top House Inn for a day and night filled with infectious melodies, resounding laughter, and cherished memories.

"The Lizard Sea Shanty Festival promises an experience like no other, celebrating the talent of our community while supporting a noble cause."
