The Top House Inn has said it is thrilled to announce that the highly anticipated Lizard Shanty Festival in Aid of The Lizard Lifeboat will take place on Saturday, September 23 this year.

The beloved village pub for locals and visitors alike will be hosting this remarkable festival that promises to be a day filled with fun, music, and surprises. The event will kick off at midday and continue until midnight, offering twelve hours of non-stop entertainment for all who attend.

What makes this festival even more special is the cause it supports - The Lizard Lifeboat. As a community-driven establishment, The Top House Inn is committed to giving back to the community and supporting causes close to their hearts.

The pub team shared how proud they are to host this festival and to raise funds for the Lizard Lifeboat, a local organization that tirelessly saves lives at sea.

The Lizard Shanty Festival will aim to bring together the community in a celebration of Cornish Folk music, dance, camaraderie, and support for the worthy cause.

Throughout the day, people can expect an array of exciting activities, including live performances by talented local shanty artists, delicious food and drinks, and a variety of surprises that will make this festival an unforgettable experience.

There are already some great acts confirmed, including Will Keating and John 'the' banjo' Dowling, The Cadgwith Singers, The Press Gang, Hit and Miss, Toby Webb, – the list goes on.

A spokesperson from the pub and organiser of the event said: "We need your help to make this event a resounding success, along with St Austell Brewery we are actively seeking additional sponsors to get involved and support the festival.

"By becoming a sponsor, companies, and individuals will not only have the opportunity to showcase their support for a worthy cause but also gain exposure to a wide audience of festival-goers and community members."

For further information on sponsorship opportunities or any other inquiries, please contact Andy at The Top House Inn at 01326 450098 or email the team at [email protected].

The Top House Inn will welcome all contributions and support that will help make this event a successful and memorable one.
