Police have launched a description of a man attempting to entice school children into the back of a van in Cury, near Mullion.

Yesterday, Nub News reported parents of local schoolchildren had been put on alert after a man had attempted to get children into a van.

In a warning issued by Mullion School yesterday morning (6th), a man in a white van was said to have blocked a child's route with his vehicle and invited them to look at his puppies.

Now the police have issued a full statement to the incident which occurred near Cury Lanes Cross at around 4:30pm on Tuesday 5th October.

A young boy was approached by a man in a van who asked if he'd like to see some dogs in the back of the van.

The boy felt uncomfortable and left the area and the incident was later reported to the police.

The man is described as being a white male, around 30 years old, with long blond 'straggly' hair which had black in it. He was clean-shaven and wearing black clothes and a black beanie hat.

The van is described as a small white van with no rear windows and is rusty in appearance.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police told Nub News:

"Anyone who witnessed the incident and anyone with information which may be relevant is asked to contact police on 101 quoting log 175 6/10/21."
