Parents have been put on alert after reports a man attempted to entice children into a van.

In a warning issued by Mullion School this morning, a man in a white van was said to have blocked a child's route with his vehicle and invited them to look at his puppies.

The incident occurred in Cury, with the man unable to be identified, neither was his registration.

A full message from the school read:

"A man in his mid 30's with long hair in a white van with no side windows has been in the area acting strangely and asking children if they want too see puppies he has in his van. Parents please be aware."

Devon and Cornwall Police have been approached for further comment.
