No new coronavirus deaths recorded in Cornwall for first time

No new deaths relating to coronavirus in Cornwall have been recorded as the numbers across Devon and Cornwall have dropped to the lowest since the outbreak began.
The figures for week 24 of 2020, published today, relate to all deaths that occurred between June 6 and June 12 but were registered up to June 20.
Across the whole of Devon and Cornwall, there were seven deaths in which COVID-19 was mentioned on the death certificate were registered in that time period, down from 10 in the previous seven days – with for the first time no deaths registered in Cornwall.
Two deaths were registered in Plymouth and East Devon, with one in Exeter.
Four of the deaths occurred in hospitals with two in a care home (in Plymouth and East Devon, and one at home (in Teignbridge).
Previous weeks have seen 10, 11, 15, 38, 44, 69, 84, 107, 88, 60, 16, and nine deaths registered.
