Mullion Cricket Club set up fundraiser for full renovation of playing surface

Mullion Cricket Club have set up a crowdfunder to improve and renovate the playing surface at the club.

It looks as if the first eleven will be getting promoted to Division 1 for next season, meaning the cricket square and outfield will need to be improved - as it hasn't had any improvements on it for a number of years.

The fundraising page was set up with a target of £1,000, with around £210 already raised.

The money will go towards getting the square levelled and good base of loam laid which will improve playability, and give the players senior and juniors a better surface for batting and bowling on.

The outfield will be verti-drained, sprayed and fertilizer applied to help with drainage and give the teams better grass coverage.
