Helston: Police issue warning to landowners after series of incidents involving travellers

Police have issued a warning to local landowners after a series of unauthorised encampments across West Cornwall.

The latest was at Dracaena Football Pitches in Falmouth this week, where a group pitched up a large camp owned on land owned by the council.

Travelling season usually runs between the months of April to October each year and landowners are encouraged to take reasonable and responsible precautions.

"We urge landowners to do what they can to visit, check and secure locations," a Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson added.
