Mullion coastguard in late night rescue after man gets stuck in thick gorse

Late on Sunday evening, Mullion Coastguard Rescue Team was tasked to a casualty who had become stuck in thick gorse.

Along with Porthoustock Coastguard Rescue, the teams worked together to help the individual.

A spokesperson for Mullion Coastguard Rescue Team said:

"Mullion CRT with Porthoustock CRT tasked to assist a casualty who became lost and stuck within thick undergrowth and gorse, along a coastal path in Coverack.

"Once on scene, both teams were able to free the casualty from the gorse and bring him to safety. Both teams were then stood down and returned to their stations."

The coastguard enforced the message, if you see someone you think is in trouble on the coast or at sea, call 999 and ask for the Coastguard.
