Heading back after attending a patrol following large swells and flooding in the area the Porthoustock Coastguard Rescue Team was tasked to an accident near Ruan Minor.

On route to Mullion Cove, the team came across an accident that had just occurred and no other emergency services on the scene.

A casualty assessment was done and minor injuries discovered.

A spokesperson for Porthoustock Coastguard Rescue Team said:

"Team members waited with the casualty whilst police and ambulance were en route. Two team members assisted the police with traffic control shortly after SWAST arrived where a casualty hand over was carried out and left with them for further assessment. Once police were happy for us to leave we continued our patrol."
