Sweet Pea Floral Studio, based on Meneage Street, said they are "delighted" to be nominated in the British Florist Association (BFA) 2021 Retail Florist Shop of the Year Industry Awards.

Sweet Pea Floral Studio has been wowing customers since 2017 from its premises in Meneage Street Helston.

The business also reached the finals in Hinkley in 2019 and came 7th.

Now in the 6th year the BFA Industry Awards have established themselves as the place to be recognised within the industry.

A total of 11 awards are being presented to individuals and companies ranging from Flower wholesalers, service providers, and the prestigious retail and website categories.

The event is an opportunity to show consumers why they should support small local businesses.

Lin Turner, the owner of Sweet Pea Floral Studio, said:

"We are delighted to be nominated in the British Florist Association (BFA) 2021 Retail Florist Shop of the Year Industry Awards. We intend to use this exciting opportunity to further introduce people to our business and raise the profile of the professional florist."

Tracy Tomlinson Association Manager of the British Florist Association, added:

"We're delighted to be able to offer the awards to the florist Industry. In the last few months, UK Florists have been under pressure from the pandemic, price increases in the wholesale cost of flowers and plants, and competition from large online retailers.

"Florists are an essential part of high streets and communities all over the UK and provide over 35,000 jobs to the local economy. We wish all our nominated florists for this award all the best of luck."
