Helston Weather Watch: Traffic being affected by flooding around town

Heavy rainfall has caused flooding around Helston affecting traffic in and out of town.

Residents have been sharing pictures and multiple reports of flooding around the town this afternoon.

One resident stated:

"Be careful as you're coming from Breage to stop gate Porthleven turn looks like the hedge is going."

A spokesperson for BBC Travel Southwest said:

"In Helston on the A394 Penzance Road near St Johns Road, we have reports of flooding."

The road is also blocked on Church Road both ways between Mullion and Cury.
