Helston Town Council has unveiled a new bench in tribute to the continued hard work of key workers and NHS staff.

The bench has been installed in Meneage Road.

A spokesperson for Helston Town Council said:

"The Council originally considered a purpose-built bench but instead decided to purchase a standard bench with a plaque and donate the difference to The League of Friends of Helston Community Hospital.

"Nurses from Helston Community Hospital together with Dr Whittle, President of the League of Friends, and Ms Gilbert, Chairman of the League of Friends, braved the weather to join the Mayor and Deputy Mayor for the unveiling of the bench."
