A Helston resident has spoken out after witnessing anti-social behaviour in Lidl last week.

The resident, who would prefer to stay anonymous, has detailed their experience with three young boys who were causing trouble whilst shopping in Lidl on Friday.

The three boys were reportedly skateboarding through the store, standing on freezers and ignoring the calls and demands of the staff.

The Helston resident told Nub News: "I called them up on their behaviour despite other adults walking by. They were climbing in the freezers and skateboarding in the aisles.

"Then at the tills, the cashier said to them that they need to leave skateboards by the front door. They either ignored him or didn't hear.

"I lost my rag and had to call them out. I also called out the other adults for not fulfilling their duty of care as adults to call out behaviour.

"We all have a duty of care to safeguard children, what might be deemed as fun at the moment is quite dangerous behaviour given the current circumstances, they could've got hurt or spread the virus."

According to the resident, the cashier said they have to deal with anti-social behaviour like this every day.

"I said they could laugh all they want, but one day they will understand why I have said something. I felt bad for doing it and hate confrontation, but to be honest, I was fed up," they continued.

"I feel bad for the lovely children and adults who use the space nicely, but it is an ever-increasing problem that people are not respecting others or their environment and seem to think someone else will sort it."

Anti-social behaviour has been a town-wide issue for a while now.

Helston Rugby Club recently upgraded their CCTV after receiving numerous vandalism attacks.
