A Helston pub has thanked the community for the support they've received during lockdown and their reopening.

The Bell Inn, situated on Meneage Street, reopened to the public on 4th July to the delight of many happy Helston residents.

Lisa and Simon, landlords of The Bell Inn, have run the pub for three years.

Lisa told Nub News:

"We re-opened on Saturday 4th and have received fantastic support from the local community. Everyone has adhered to the guidelines and it's been great to see all our friends again."

Simon and Lisa have told Nub News that lockdown has been tough on them as a business.

Lisa continued:

"The lockdown has been difficult for us as a business.

"Unfortunately, we have been charged full rent plus all other costs associated with running a business over the past 3 months.

"We are taking each day as it comes and looking forward to welcoming everyone to our beautiful cosy Cornish pub."

The pub has had a large refurbishment recently, featuring a new kitchen and an overhauled beer garden to allow for more seating.

The pub is currently offering a basic food menu and a full selection of drinks from the bar - landlord Simon is particularly proud of the flavoursome range of drinks he stocks, which he says uses some of the smaller brewers.
