The mayor was on hand to cut the ribbon at a new tech shop in Helston.

This morning Tech Revive, formerly of Wendron Street, moved into brand new bigger premises on Meneage Street. Gillian's Larder used to occupy the shop before closing in September.

When owner Danny Tresidder started the business - it was just one week before the country went into lockdown and they had to close.

Tech Revive has come a long way in 18 months and the new shop presents a great opportunity for the small family run business.

Danny had previously worked for a repair business in Camborne before deciding to start his own. The shop does repairs on various things from phones, tablets, PC's and games consoles. Whilst also selling devices, gadgets, accessories, and offering unlocking.

Owner Danny told Nub News:

"Back in October, we were approached by Johnathan and Gillian Geer from Gillians Larder regarding the shop availability.

"I thought it was a great opportunity to move onto the main street and expand. We knew it could have some risks, but we have just gone for it.

"We have had fantastic support from the Helston community over the past 18 months. It was great to have the mayor out today to show his support by cutting the ribbon at the new store and becoming our first customer."

Helston Mayor Tim Grattan Kane added that he was "delighted" to see another small business in the town thriving.

The new Tech Revive shop on Meneage Street is open Monday to Friday 9am-5pm, and Saturday's 9am-4pm.
