Helston Flora Day 2022: Photos from the Evening Dance

A brilliant end to the day that made the hairs on the back of your neck stand up - the Flora Day Evening Dance.
Some of the crowd were reduced to tears around me as Helston Town Band played out the final notes of the day.
As usual, the same dancers who took part in the Early Morning Dance returned to do the final dance of the day which took a similar route to the Midday Dance.
A post on social media from resident Si Colgan summed the day up perfectly, he said:
"Well what a Flora day. Massive thank you to the Flora day team and the band, so much work for one day, and Helston appreciates it. We were all very proud yesterday. Like Nick Wills said 'it's not about the dancing or the Hal-an-tow or the fair, it's about a feeling, a feeling inside,' and he is so right. What an emotional day. Thank you."
