Helston traffic watch: Emergency services on the scene after van crashes into house

Police and ambulance services were called out after a collision in Newtown St Martin.

Emergency services rushed out to the scene of a crash this afternoon in Newtown St Martin, on The Lizard Peninsula, towards the Helford.

Residents reported a supermarket delivery van smashing through a house, just after 12 this afternoon.

Devon and Cornwall Police confirmed that minor injuries had been sustained in the incident.

The driver of the van is believed to have suffered a hand injury and the owner of the property left with minor injuries.

Emergency services remain on the scene, the incident is ongoing.
