Helston Christmas lights are set to come down for another year following the conclusion of the festive season.

Although there was no proper switch on this year - residents were still delighted with the display.

The work started on the 7th November as the first stage to put up the lights. Overall around 70 Christmas trees were spread out around town complete with fairy lights.

Announced by the Christmas lights committee, nearly 100 people liked their post revealing everything was being packed away over the weekend (8th-9th January).

They said:

"That's the lights all turned off. Helston's streets are all dark and gloomy now."

One resident commented:

"Thank you for your continued hard work making the town look lush at Christmas."

A second wrote:

"Thank you for yet another amazing light-fest! It seems to get better each year."

A third commented:

"They have been wonderful. Thank you all so much for the time you give to make our town look magical for Christmas."

Brilliant effort from the whole Christmas lights team this year.
