Update: Temporary traffic lights have been put up on Furry Way.

A set of traffic lights are still out of action in Helston following a collision.

The incident occurred yesterday evening (5th) with a vehicle crashing through railings and wiping out lights on Furry Way. There were reports of a police presence at the scene.

An eyewitness told Nub News they thought the driver was "going way too fast" as the lights changed for people to cross the road.

A resident living nearby confirmed the lights were still broken. They added:

"My concern is that school kids won't be able to cross safely whilst the lights are not working. It is a 30mph zone and we need those lights."

Devon and Cornwall Police have been approached for any further information.
