Heavy traffic on Gilly Hill after car hits power lines

UPDATE: Road cleared on Gilly Hill.


There are reports of heavy traffic around Helston late this afternoon after a vehicle struck a power line.

The road on Gilly Hill, Nantithet is said to still be closed and there are delays around the area.

The AA route map reads:

"Road closed and heavy traffic due to fallen power cables on Gilly Hill both ways between Treloskan Farm to Cury, Whitecross.

"Police confirm the road will remain closed through the afternoon, after a vehicle hit the power lines."
