On Sunday, 9-year-old Freddie Gwilliams from Helston completed the 26 laps of his garden raising money for Children's Hospice South West.

Freddie has a complex neurodevelopment syndrome so he is unable to talk or walk, but he has raised over £2000 for charity, with donations "still coming in daily."

At the end of March Nub News covered the challenge as Freddie had just completed his sixth lap.

His mum Hayley told Nub News:

"He smiled the whole time and worked so hard and he even went off on his own and started lap 27 once we were finished!

"The fundraising total was amazing, £2206 in total so far with donations still coming in daily. It means so much to us as a family to be able to do a small part to support the Children's Hospice South West.

"They offer so much help and support to families like ours in Cornwall with such complex and vulnerable children. We are so grateful to everybody who got involved with Freddie's fundraising, the lovely messages cheering Freddie on, the generous donations and the shares of his videos.

"It was really heartwarming that even during these hard times people were still kind enough to support a good cause. We hope Freddie's videos spread a little cheer and bought a smile to people's faces."
