Heavy showers and heavy rain are forecast for Helston this afternoon and throughout the evening.

Helston & South Kerrier's Community Network tweeted: "There are flood warnings and flood alerts throughout Cornwall, specifically on the south coast (Lizard Point) for this evening, due to high tides and high winds. Please be careful whilst out and about."

River levels remain high and this could lead to flooding of low lying land and roads.

Residents are being advised not to walk or drive through floodwater.
