Helston Medical Centre has urged those patients 80+ to contact the surgery after a surprise double order of the Pfizer vaccine.
If you are 80+ and haven't heard from the surgery about getting a jab, they are asking that you contact them ASAP.
They are running vaccinations over the weekend and Monday as the vaccine has to be used within a short time frame.
A spokesperson for Helston Medical Centre & Porthleven Surgery said:
"After a quick message around we were quite simply blown away to find enough people across all four practices willing to work extra on Sunday and Monday to enable us to use this box for our South Kerrier PCN residents. So, we will now be running clinics on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
"The booking teams have subsequently been contacting another 1100+ people and the clinics are filling nicely. The Helston Lizard Rotary club has worked their volunteer magic and we are set to protect another 1100+ people in addition to our planned clinics."
All 80+ year olds should have been contacted if they are able to come into the surgery by now.
If you, or a relative/friend are in the 80+ age group and are able to get into the surgery at Helston give them a call.
In an update, Helston Medical Centre told Nub News:
"So for Helston Medical Centre patients, if they are over 80 and haven't heard (and can get to the surgery) get in contact with us (next week now)."
