Crews called out to tackle electrical fire on Penzance Road

Fire crews were tasked this morning to reports of a fire on Penzance Road, Helston.

Appliances from Helston and Tolvaddon attended a call to a fire in an industrial unit at 9am.

A spokesperson for Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service said:

"On arrival, the crew discovered a small electrical fire in the rear of a building measuring 20 by 20 meters.

"The firefighters used one hose reel, a safety jet and a thermal imaging camera to extinguish the fire.

"A fire investigation took place and the cause is believed to be accidental."
