Coronation Park, Helston has responded to concerns from the public about the behaviour of a male swan.

The advice was issued on social media this morning saying that the Park Officer will be on hand if there is any further aggressive behaviour.

A spokesperson for Coronation Park said:

"We have been contacted by some concerned members of the public about the aggressive behaviour of the resident male swan.

"Unfortunately, this is not unusual when there are so many wildfowl around. Advice from experts remains the same as it was in previous years and that is that this is very typical behaviour during nesting season and difficult to prevent.

"During the day when our Park Officer is working he will, of course, endeavour to monitor and intervene (if safe to do so) should he witness any aggressive behaviour."
