Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage after a 34-year-old woman died in a two-vehicle collision on the B3297 at Burras.

The female driver of the Fiat, from the Cornwall area, was pronounced deceased at the scene. Her next-of-kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.

A man aged in his 30s was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. He has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.

Officers from the force's Roads Policing Team attended the scene to investigate and establish how the collision occurred.

The road was closed for several hours while a specialist examination took place.

Officers are appealing for witnesses and in particular for anyone with dashcam footage of the incident, or the vehicles involved prior to it, to come forward.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police via their website or by calling 101 quoting log 485 of 19 July 2022.
