The police have provided an update following a two-vehicle accident in Helston this afternoon.

Reports suggest the earlier heavy traffic on the B3297 has eased and the vehicles have been moved.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said:

"There is a collision between two vehicles on the B3297 at Helston – on the roundabout by Wynnstay Stores.

"Call came in at around 4.10pm. No reported injuries.

"The road is said to be blocked and is being cleared at this time."

The Kernow Weather Team tweeted:

"Police are now on scene and car blocking the roundabout has been moved. Traffic coping well.
