Man detained after armed police called out to Helston Library

Armed Police could be seen at Helston Library this afternoon.

Police have issued an update after armed officers were seen in Helston this afternoon.

Local residents stated that armed police were "all over" Helston Library.

The library later announced it would be closing until next week, Monday 25th.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police told Nub News:

"We received reports of threats being made in the Trengrouse Way area of Helston at around 1.40pm.

"Officers, including armed units, have attended the scene and carried out searches of the area.

"One man has been detained in connection with the incident."
