Large gorse fire breaks out in Goonhilly

Local fire teams worked to tackle a large gorse in the Goonhilly area on the Lizard Peninsula.
Yesterday afternoon (14th) crews and appliances from St Keverne, Mullion, and Helston were mobilised to control the blaze.
Crews used natural fire breaks and beaters to extinguish the flames.
The incident was closed down and crews returned to their home stations just before 7pm.
