A Helston teacher underwent a shave this morning as part of her fundraiser for charity.
Clair was told she had six months to live after a scan showed she had stage 4 terminal bowel cancer, and there were secondary cancers in her liver and peritoneum, with both breasts and many of her lymph nodes affected.
This morning (5th), friends and family gathered to support Clair in having her hair shaved off.
Clair told Nub News:
"I'd just to say thanks for the love and kindness that has been shown towards me and my family.
"We have raised over £6,000 which is above anything I ever imagined, I really thought I was pushing it at £500!"
Minnie's staff member Fern who cut Clair's hair, told Nub News:
"Clair and Lisa (owner) know each other really well, we were happy to do it.
"It was just lovely really to be involved and support a charity, it's a pleasure."
Afterwards, Clair revealed very positive news that following a visit to the hospital, they told her the chemotherapy is working and her tumours have shrunk.
